This clip shows Cleo taking a bath. I attach the sprinkler on the sink to the faucet. She likes to jump into the sink and jump right back out again. To see a major contrast in birdie bath techniques, take a look at how her sister, Gypsy, bathes. Needless to say, they do not shower at the same time. Gypsy tried once, but it did not work out. After Cleo landed on Gypsy the second time, Gypsy called it quits.

This is towel-surfing. One of those things every caique parent loves to watch. After a shower Cleo loves to surf on a nice thick towel on top of her cage with the sun shinning in through the window. It is really wild... she ALWAYS rubs right up on the edge of the cage. The towel covers almost the entire top, but she always rubs on that one corner. Hmmm.

Here is a clip of Cleo doing what she loves the most... getting into something she has never been in before. She has found a bowl on the counter containing 'dumb-dumbs'. Her joy comes from taking the wrapper off. The clip starts out with a view of the results of her work (a pile of wrappers). She proceeded to pick up another dumb-dumb, take the wrapper off, and then drop both the wrapper and the dumb-dumb. For smaller files click the link to the size you prefer. Remember, the smaller the file the lower the quality.

This is what I call 'the jailbird walk'. When she has been put in her cage and she feels it is time to get out, she will walk back and forth in front of the cage. John says, "All she needs is a tin cup to rake across the bars." I must confess, the jailbird walk does the trick 99% of the time, and she is 'released'. :) For more story on this visit page 2 of "A Day in the Life of Cleo".

This is Chirp. He is lives with George, who I must say is quite a character. You will find his name in several places on this web site where humor is concerned.
Chirp is wrestling with a paper towel, and I must said it is a blast to watch. Listen closely to the music in the background... the 'WB cartoon' music really fits the tussel that is going on.

This is a clip of Cleo head-bobbing The first time most new parrot owners see this behavior they don't know what to think. It is actually a sign of affection. She is trying to regurgitate for me. In this clip she is not pumping her head as long as she does sometimes... but it still gives an idea of the motion.
